Beginning Fall 2024, we will be offering TRANSPORTATION for our preschoolers at the end of the morning session! We are extremely excited to solve this common barrier for parents.

Where will the bus go?

We will determine the bus route based on the needs of the class. We plan to include Lowry, Glenwood, and Starbuck, as well as a "stop" at the Lake Mary Township lot between Lowry and Alexandria! We should be able to accommodate most students; however, we have to keep overall travel time in mind. We can drop off your child at your home, daycare, or other location, but it will need to be consistent and pre-planned. Last-minute or daily changes cannot be accommodated.

When will the bus make trips?

Transportation will be offered for the end of the morning session (11:30am) only. This is the most common pinch point for our parents and is the best time for our staff. If this transportation is important to you, make sure your child is enrolled in a half-day (morning) session.

Who will drive the bus?

Our teachers will drive the bus! Miss Carla will be our primary driver and Miss Ashley will fill in, as needed. Both teachers have received their Child and Restraint Systems (C.A.R.S.) training and are excited to transport our young learners! The bus will be equipped with car seats and booster seats so each child will ride in the appropriate seat for their age/size. In addition, we have Commercial Auto Liability Insurance through a local agent and have worked to ensure we have proper coverage.

Will it cost something for my child to ride the bus?

Yes, in order to make this a sustainable option, a small fare will be charged for each rider. It will be $2.00 per ride within Lowry and $4.00 per ride outside of Lowry. These fares will help us cover staff time, fuel, and maintenance costs.
